The aim behind Ramadhan is to strengthen one’s self-discipline as well as spare a thought to those less fortunate than themselves. What do other Muslims around the world do during this time of the year? Having done a series in China, we now bring the successful formula to Turkey. At the confluence of the East and the West, Turkey has a very diverse culture that is a blend of various elements of the Oguz Turkic, Anatolian, Ottoman and Western culture and traditions. Over time, Turkey has been open to many influences from around the world, itself not unlike that of a crucible / melting pot of different cultures which manifest in its own uniqueness. Salam Ramadhan – Turkey will show that while Turkish Muslim beliefs are not necessarily all that different from other Muslims worldwide, they have their own identity and culture that shines through just as strongly as their Islamic faith.
