Kembara Budaya China

Not rated | Educational | 2017

"There were two silk trade routes (a sea and a land route) connecting China, Central Asia and the Middle East in the olden days. The two trade routes made tremendous contributions to the development of world culture by shortening the distance between the eastern culture and the western culture, where along the way, the two different culture managed to interact and enrich each other. The sea route to China for the envoys and businessmen from Arabia and Persia started at the Persian Gulf, passed the Malay Peninsula, and finally arrived at various trading ports along the south coast of China. We will embark with our host to retrace this ancient maritime silk route. In the endeavor to investigate the lost silk route along south coast China, we will discover many intriguing and unique arts and cultures about the local community that sprawl up around each city amidst its rich history. Against China’s exotic landscape and architecture, the host will also get to immerse himself into the lives of the local people and venturing off the beaten tracks to get a more intimate experience of the arts and culture from the golden days of the Maritime Silk Route."
