Apple TV+ has ordered an original shortform docuseries focusing on sports stars including NBA great LeBron James and Olympic champion sprinter Usain Bolt.
Greatness Code will also spotlight NFL quarterback Tom Brady, US soccer star Alex Morgan and snowboarder Shaun White, looking at the pivotal moments that defined their careers.
The seven-parter is a corpro between sports content platform Religion of Sports – co-founded by filmmaker Gotham Chopra, Brady and NFL Hall of Fame inductee Michael Strahan – and Uninterrupted, the athlete empowerment brand founded by James alongside Maverick Carter.
The series will be directed by Chopra, who will also serve as exec producer alongside Carter, Ameeth Sankaran and Devin Johnson.
Greatness Code will premiere on Apple TV+ on July 10, joining a growing slate of unscripted Apple originals that includes the soon-to-premiere Dear…, Beastie Boys Story, Visible: Out on Television and Dads.
