ITV & Fremantle alum Katrina Neylon joins tech firm We Got Pop

Katrina Neylon

Former StudioCanal, Fremantle and ITV exec Katrina Neylon has joined TV and film technology firm We Got POP.

Neylon becomes business development lead at Entertainment Partners-owned Pop, which was launched in 2014 and focuses on technology to digitise production processes, assist with casting and improve connections within the industry.

Her remit includes helping producers to future-proof their operations and to enable them to bring productions to market.

Neylon has spent more than three decades in media and was most recently working at ITV, having stepped down from her role as EVP of global content at FremantleMedia International in 2018.

Before that, Neylon was EVP of international sales & marketing at Studiocanal and also managed the EMEA sales team at Shine International, where she was SVP of sales. She has also worked for companies including Disney ABC International Television and Twentieth Century Fox International Television.

Chloe Chesteron, commercial director at Pop, said: “It’s been a whirlwind period for Pop as large chunks of the production community seek out our technology. We’re delighted to welcome Katrina and look forward to the fresh insight she will bring to our clients and team.”

Neylon added: “Tech is going to revolutionise the industry and Pop is leading this digital transformation, so joining was a natural next challenge for me.”

The appointment comes three months after Entertainment Partners, a US-based management solutions firm, acquired Pop for an undisclosed sum.
