History, Hulu to air Hiroshima copro

A+E Networks-owned channel History in the US and streamer Hulu in Japan will air a documentary marking the 75th anniversary of the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki next month.

Hiroshima & Nagasaki: 75 Years Later is a two-hour doc produced for History by October Films and coproduced by A+E Networks International, History and Hulu Japan.

The programme will use archival footage from the immediate aftermath of the 1945 attacks, as well as audio testimony from witnesses.

It will premiere on Hulu in Japan and History in the US on August 2, followed by History in Japan on August 30.

Hiroshima & Nagasaki: 75 Years Later is directed by James Erskine and exec produced by Matt Robins and Jos Cushing for October Films. Mike Stiller and Eli Lehrer exec produce for History.

A+E Networks holds the worldwide distribution rights to the doc.
