Endemol Shine channels join US AVOD Stirr

Total Wipeout

Banijay Group-owned Endemol Shine is launching four of its digital linear entertainment channels on US AVOD service Stirr.

The initial roll out will see channels Wipeout Xtra, which is dedicated to various shows in the physical game format, and Deal Or No Deal, featuring the US version of the global quiz format, made available as 24-hour streaming channels on the service, while DIY Daily and Reel Truth Crime will join them later this year.

Stirr, which is owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group, is also adding a selection of shows from Endemol Shine’s content archive, including Flavor Of Love, McLeod’s Daughters,The Simple Life, City Homicide and My Kitchen Rules.

Kasia Jablonska, Head of Digital Distribution and Monetisation at Endemol Shine said, “There are many gems in our rich archive and this deal is a brilliant opportunity for us to bring our hit shows to even more US viewers. Our curated content channels are proving very successful and with STIRR’s captive audience we expect to see even more growth in this area.”

Banijay completed its $2.2 billion acquisition of Endemol Shine earlier this month. The production giant now comprises more than 120 production labels across 22 territories and over 88,000 hours of catalogue content.
