Discovery Denmark takes Keshet format

Singletown was first made for ITV2

Discovery Networks in Denmark has picked up a relationship-themed format from Keshet International.

Singletown, which was originally produced by Keshet Productions for ITV2 in the UK, sees five couples press pause on their relationships and spend one summer living single lives in the city.

At the end of each week, the couples meet and decide whether they want to leave the show together or stay single and remain in Singletown for the rest of the summer.

Banijay Group’s Nordisk Film TV Denmark will produce a local adaptation of the show for Discovery Networks, marking the format’s first sale.

Casting has begun for the 16×43′ series, which starts shooting in Copenhagen in July.
