DC’s Stargirl returns to The CW

DC’s Stargirl S2 will be available on The CW’s AVoD services

US broadcast network The CW has renewed its superhero teen drama DC’s Stargirl for a second season.

The show follows a high school student who becomes the inspiration for a new generation of superheroes who become the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America.

The second season will premiere exclusively on The CW and will also be available on the network’s AVoD platforms.

The series is exec produced by Geoff Johns alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Melissa Carter, who also serves as co-showrunner. Berlanti Productions and Mad Ghost Productions produce the series in association with Warner Bros Television.

DC’s Stargirl is based on the DC comic book series created by Johns.
